By popular demand the Surrey Youth Ballet was founded in 2004 by Sonya Nichols (Director), who won the coveted Ursula Moreton Choreographic Award whilst at The Royal Ballets Upper School.
SYB is advantaged in having a qualified faculty who have been trained at a variety of recognised establishments including; The Royal Ballet School, The Royal Academy of Dance, Central School of Ballet, Elmhurst School for Ballet, London Studio Centre, London Contemporary Dance School (The Place), Laine Theatre Arts, Rambert School of Ballet and Contemporary Dance.
The Surrey Youth Ballet (SYB) consists of SYB Company, which involves summer school and a yearly production and SYB Associates, new for 2021 which involves monthly dance classes.
